Tires for 27.5″ rims
Maxxis is my favorite brand.
I love the Re-Fuse 27.5 x 2.00. This is great on pavement and hardpack. If you have a rigid bike or hardtail, the 2.00 width adds the extra suspension that you’ll want going over the bumps. This is the fastest tire possible on hardpack, fire roads, etc.
If you will be on the pavement exclusively riding around in the city and possibly in the rain then the Overdrive will be best. It’s narrower so not as plush a ride, but it’s much faster on the asphalt and has a tread for water and a reflective stripe for riding at night. Will update after I’ve ridden a few hundred miles on them.
